Transportation arrangement to assist those in Singapore, Selangor and Kuala Lumpur to come back to vote in Teluk Intan by-election


MEDIA STATEMENT 

In order to help voters of Teluk Intan who are outstation to come back to vote on 31/5/2014 (Saturday) in the Teluk Intan by-election we have made the following arrangement.

Voters residing in KL/Selangor
Buses will depart on 30/5/2014 from Bukit Jalil LRT and Kelana Jaya LRT. Time of Departure will be 7.00pm, 8.00pm & 9.00pm. Returned tickets (to & fro) at RM10.00 can be purchased by contacting Mr Chee Fu Yue Tel: 017-2327929 or sending an email to telukintanbyelection2014@gmail.com.

Buses will return from Teluk Intan to KL/Selangor on Saturday evening (31/5/2014) and Sunday evening (1/6/2014). Time of departure will be at 6.00pm. Tentatively, 10 buses have been arranged for this purpose.

Voters residing in Singapore
Voters returning from Singapore to vote will be given a free ticket to return to Singapore on Saturday (31/5/2014) night and Sunday (1/6/2014) night. Times of departure will be at 8.30pm and 9.30pm. Family members with children, parents or relatives returning to vote may contact Mr. Siew Lee Wah Tel: 012-5068928 or email: comehome2vote@gmail.com to book the free tickets. Tickets however, will be issued to the voters after they have returned to Teluk Intan. The voter must show evidence he/she has travelled back from Singapore e.g a bus ticket to vote and his/her name is listed as a voter in this by-election. 15 buses have been arranged for this purpose.

We would like to once again call on voters residing outside Teluk Intan to return to vote and to celebrate the Chang Festival with their families.

In order to cover our expenses, we call on our supporters to donate generously towards this by-election. Contribution to this by-election may be paid into DAP Perak, Public Bank Berhad A/C No. 3110441003.
