Ling Boon Lin (17years old) who lost his father in an accident some years ago himself met with an accident on 4th August 2008 in Sitiawan. He was referred to Fatimah Hospital in Ipoh for an immediate brain operation because of bleeding in the brain.He underwent a long operation by Dr S. Baskaran, Neuro surgeon to save his life.His skull plate was removed and needs another operation to put back in 1 month's time. The total cost for the medical fee was estimated to be up to RM70,000. The public responsed to the guardian for donations
Dato' Ngeh, Assemblyman for Sitiawan was one of the earliest to response.Dato' Ngeh represented DAP Sunshine project to present the cheque. On hand to receive the donation was the victim's grandmother.
